Will a Pressure Washing Service Be Able to Clean Concrete?
Cleaning surfaces made from concrete around a home is a job most homeowners know only too well. Ranging from oil stains on driveways or the floor in the garage to stains on concrete around pools, there is always a need to perform concrete cleaning at one stage or another. Should you be faced with the job of removing blemishes or stains from your concrete surfaces, with the exception of using a pressure washing service, first try the methods below.
One of the most common problems with concrete driveways and floors in the garage floors are stains. These are normally made by oil spills or other fluids leaking from the engine of your car. Fortunately, there are a few easy methods that could make a difference when cleaning concrete surfaces. First, buy an absorbent cat litter. Sprinkle it over the stain and leave it to sit for a couple of days. Brush the litter away and inspect the stain. Cat litter does lift stains that have not sunk too deep into concrete. Should the stain be gone, your job is done.
However, should you come across a more stubborn stain, you need to use a second method of cleaning concrete. Put a layer of concrete powder directly over the stain. Ensure the powder is dry, and don’t let it get wet while the layer is sinking into the surface. The powder should suck into the concrete and draw the stain out. As with the litter, let the powder sit for a couple of days, then remove it. In most cases the stain will have disappeared.
But, should these methods not totally clear the stain, you will need to use a pressure washing service. Ensure to use a product which is recommended for pressure washing concrete surfaces.
